I had a talk with a friend today during lunch about sustainability. We both agreed that sustainability is like the solution to the corruptions that the earth is going through. Climate change! The earth is dying!! And yet not many people realize how important sustainability is.

So what is sustainability? Sustainability is the long-term maintenance of well being, which has environmental, economic, and social dimensions, and encompasses the concept of stewardship, the responsible management of resource use.

Before I came to Melbourne, I never ever thought about this sustainability because in Malaysia sustainability is not a big thing yet. When I was here, I learned a lot about sustainability - sustainable design, sustainable features, green design etc. And a lot of buildings here are very sustainable. I'm so amazed to see all these buildings and made me think why Malaysia doesn't have these kind of buildings. Is it because of the weather? Is it because people are not aware about sustainability?

As a future architect, I really feel like is my duty and responsibility to incorporate sustainability in my design. I would like to bring the knowledge that I have learned here back to Malaysia. By doing a sustainable design type of buildings means require no non-renewable resources, impact the environment minimally and relate people with the natural environment.

If God always give chances to us, why can't we. All we need is just trust and believe in that person that he or she will be a better person.

Eventhough we didn't do anything wrong to another person, there is no harm seeking forgiveness from that person. Seeking forgiveness is a good thing and is encouraged by God.

So friends, from today onwards let us seek forgiveness and be forgiving. Like the phrase 'forgive and forget'.

Bookcase can be part of the main feature of a house. If one knows to place them in a strategic space in a house, I think it will make that space itself more interesting. Bookcases that I was talking about are pretty much the ones that are built-in bookcases.

Just imagine a built-in bookcase with full of books. When visitor or guest come to the house, it somehow can make the visitor's think that the people in the house likes to read. In my opinion people who reads are smart people. It doesn't really matter what you're reading; story books, magazines, comics, journals, newspapers, etc. You can always learn new things by reading stuffs. I want my future house to have a bookcase. So that I can put all my architecture books and journals. My future wife and children can also put their books there if they want to though :)

I did some googling today for some cool ideas of bookcases.

After seeing all these, I somehow can't wait to design my own house in the future and then I can design my own bookcase.

It is all that I can say and summarize about architecture. Some might say that architecture is about the art and science of a building. There is no right or wrong in defining it.

WHO IS ARCHITECT?

An architect is like Jack of all trades. You must capable of doing anything (at least in construction field). Most people thought that architect only designs houses. Yes, an architect did that. However, it is just the small part of their jobs. Speaking of designing the houses, the architects must be creative enough to make their client’s dream become true. They must use all creativities and expertise to transform the idea into a building. It is not about just doing the drafting for bungalow plan.

The word ‘architect’ can be referred as a licensed professional. That will differentiate the ‘architect’ from the ‘building designer’. An architect is a building designer, but not all building designer is a licensed architect.

An architect can be described as an artist + designer + engineer. The 3 combinations can make an individual to be a great architect

She couldn't resist anymore that she decided to come up on the bed, lying beside him and rest her head on his chest while shedding tears.

"What if we just acknowledge that we have a screwed-up relationship.. and we stick it out anyway? We accept that we fight a lot.. and we hardly sleep together anymore.. but that we don't wanna live without each other," he said.

Teardrops rolled down even more from her eyes.

"And that way we can spend our lives together..

It feels quite sad when it comes to this blog. I felt that I have abandoned it for quite some time. Sigh. I am not that busy pun – I had a lot of time but doing some thing else la kan. Maybe I’m not sure what to write. If ada pun, maybe tulis dalam kepala je kot? Or maybe I’m too lazy to edit and upload photos in this blog like everyone else did. I might not be the type who expresses my feelings through writing. I rather keep it to myself and let no one else know. Well, maklumla saya ni pemalu orang nya.

A lot had happen last year. Yes, I mean a lot. Ups and downs. And I’ve learned a lot from it. But this year is a new year. So azam baru la. Pergh, baru Mac nak azam baru. Ketinggalan zaman betul. Ish ish ish. Saya rasa saya banyak abaikan girlfriend pertama saya, tahun lepas. Kesian dia. So tahun ni nak ganti balik. Nak jaga dia baik-baik. Who is this girlfriend pertama saya? Sape lagi if bukan ARCHITECTURE la. :))))

Not forgetting azam baru to this blog jugak, saya janji akan update BLOG ni dengan lebih kerap. InsyaAllah.

Hm. Rasa-rasanya in the next topic, what to write eh. Maybe update pasal this semester punya design la. If tak pun, upload photos from Molly’s wedding tu yang I jadi official photographer tu. Ye kawan-kawan, I yang tak berapa tere sangat ni, jadi official photographer untuk wedding mat saleh. Tak percaya kan. Jeng jeng jeng.
